The Wayfarer

The Wayfarer is a young female Wayfarer who joins the party after The Young Traveler is healed by Dawneblade.

She is known publicly by her role: The Wayfarer.

Role

Wayfarers are unaligned witnesses. They exist between domains and intervene proportionally to prevent cascading failure.

The Wayfarer is not there to rule, command, or save the story from consequence. She witnesses, acts when action is proportional, and understands that some events matter before anyone else understands why.

Abilities

She carries the Wayfarer tradition. She uses a staff and can move with quiet, overwhelming precision.

Importance

She is one of the few figures suited to approach the Wasteland because Wayfarers are not bound to the same rules as ordinary elves.

Origin note

Some accounts say Wayfarers descend from an early branch of humanity that chose a different path. The truth of that origin is one of the mysteries still moving beneath the story.
