Vaelis

Vaelis is an ancient elven mage whose dry humour and casual manner conceal a formidable command of magic.

Temperament

He values restraint. When power can end a danger without cruelty, he chooses that path, though he is never above a harmless mischief or an excellent stolen pie.

Public role

Vaelis represents elven power as intervention without domination: observant, capable, and answerable to a history much longer than his companions' own.
